Research highlights trends in the legal sector and we want your feedback

May 14, 2019

At Watsons Solicitors we are committed to improving your experience with us and would like your feedback on contacting us.

A recent industry study highlighted that clients are more at ease communicating digitally by email and online chat, especially when making initial enquiries.

The research found that 83 per cent of current and future consumers prefer to liaise with firms online, and we want to understand the preferences of people in Warrington and Cheshire.

Danny Hudson, partner and family law specialist, said: “The findings were surprising to us. It goes against everything we believed, which is that clients favour the personal touch such as face-to-face meetings and telephone conversations.

“We continually seek to meet the expectations of our clients and the best way to ensure we achieve this is by communicating with you.

“This helps us to review our internal processes and systems and implement changes where necessary.

“Also in the research, it was interesting to note that as well as the majority of people favouring to communicate online, more than half (55 per cent) still want face-to-face contact with lawyers.

“We firmly believe meetings in person help to build trust and relationships, which often allow for a smoother journey through the legal process.”

Let Watsons Solicitors know how you would like to be contacted by one of the following methods:

  • Email us online via our contact form, or contact one of the solicitors directly
  • Call us on 01925 571 212. We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm,
  • Pop in and see us (on Bold Street in the city centre)
  • Mention it to your solicitor when you next speak to them
  • Write to us at 13 Bold Street, Warrington, Cheshire, WA1 1DJ

The study also revealed current trends for how consumers narrow down their options for choosing a firm of solicitors to contact.

Danny, who is also one of two partners responsible for Watsons’ marketing, added: “Unsurprisingly, Google tops the list of how people begin their search for legal services. For people searching for a local firm, that may include them searching generally eg firm of solicitors in Warrington, or a specific specialism eg family law firm in Cheshire.

“Reviews on Google and other social media platforms also help in the decision-making process, and we would be grateful if you could take 30 seconds to leave a review of your experience with us:
