Warrington-based Watsons Solicitors’ unwavering support for the health and wellbeing of the local community shows no signs of slowing down.
Situated in the heart of the town, the law firm, which has stood for 65 years, is determined to provide opportunities for people to participate in sport.
With that in mind, Watsons is sponsoring the 2023 Warrington Running Festival, which is scheduled to be held on Sunday 24 September.
The world’s first free to enter, chip timed, road closed run, features both a half marathon and a 10km race.
Danny Hudson, partner, and member of the family law department at Watsons, said: “We are thrilled to be sponsoring what will be a memorable occasion for the town, and this extends our commitment to giving something back to the people of Warrington.”
The company already sponsors a host of teams and schools within a five-mile radius of its office by providing sports kits and equipment.
Woolston Rovers Lionesses are the latest side to be helped with a new kit, joining their male counterparts, as well as Bank Quay Bulls, Crosfields, Rylands, and Bruche Athletic junior clubs.
Warrington Wolves Foundation's learning disability rugby league team, and primary schools, Bewsey Lodge and Chapelford Village, have also received valuable support.
Previous assistance has been given to Lymm Ladies hockey team and the main stand at Warrington Town Football Club featured the Watsons brand.
Danny added: “Health and wellbeing is an increasingly important topic, and several members of the firm have interests away from work that involve sport, fitness, and exercise.
“It’s wonderful that we can help teams and schools in the region, and it’s always a highlight when we see a picture of the latest kit or equipment we’ve sponsored.”
