Where families are concerned, emotions often run high. That’s why our dedicated team of solicitors are specially trained to handle your case as sensitively as possible, while still resolving your problems efficiently. In family law cases, going to court is usually a last resort. Here at Watsons Solicitors, we promote mediation wherever possible to save you the financial and emotional costs of going to court.

  • Our areas of expertise include:
  • Divorce finance
  • Civil partnership disputes
  • Cohabitation and property disputes
  • Domestic violence and injunctions
  • Child residence or contact disputes
  • Care proceedings
  • Adoption
  • Removal from the jurisdiction

Child Contact

In most cases, the most important issue of a family breakdown is child contact. Here at Watsons, we will work tirelessly to protect your interests, as well as those of your children. This may include a child residence order or child support.

Fixed Fee Solicitors

Obtaining reliable divorce advice can be costly. Here at Watsons Solicitors, we recognise this. That’s why we have developed a Fixed Fee Divorce, which includes:

  • An initial divorce consultation
  • A letter to the other side
  • A letter of divorce advice to you
  • A referral to divorce mediation

Any other children or financial matters are not included in the fixed fee divorce. However, any additional costs will be agreed at the outset. We offer free half-hour consultations upon request. In some limited circumstances, legal aid is available. Please ask for more details. The breakdown of a family can be a distressing and financially unsettling time for those involved. Understandably, you’ll want to have access to reliable family and divorce advice when you need it. That’s why our expert team of solicitors are on hand to answer any family law questions you may have, prior to discussing your next steps. If you would like to speak to one of our dedicated solicitors, contact us today.
