Watsons Solicitors’ partners led from the front as the law firm continued its backing of the Warrington Running Festival.
Latham Parry, Chris Illingworth, and Kristel Clarke joined around 6,000 others in the September sunshine, pounding the town’s streets and helping raise £20,000 for St Rocco’s Hospice.
Watsons was also sponsoring what is a highlight of the Warrington calendar for a fourth consecutive year as part of its determination to support local initiatives.
Residential conveyancing solicitor Chris took on his second consecutive 10km run at the annual event, completing it in a time of 57 minutes and 58 seconds.
Managing partner Latham tackled the 5km alongside his eldest son, with the employment law specialist crossing the finish line in 27 minutes and 29 seconds. The youngster, however, finished in 24 minutes and 27 seconds beating last year’s time by more than three minutes.
Member of the probate department, Kristel also took part in the 5km, completing it in a time of 36 minutes and 33 seconds.
Chris said: “Returning as a sponsor this year was always part of the plan for Watsons Solicitors.
“The festival is always one of the highlights of the year, not only for us taking part and being amongst the fun, but also because it gives us the opportunity to support an event and cause that is so deeply embedded in the Warrington community.
“There was plenty of anticipation in the build-up to the day, so it was brilliant to see the Watsons team rise to the challenge and push themselves physically.
“Occasions like these are a way for us to come together outside of the office and contribute to something meaningful.”
