A leading Cheshire law firm continues to go from strength to strength following the promotion of a new partner.
Lauren Soutar becomes the sixth partner at Watsons Solicitors, joining Catrin Parry, Danny Hudson, Chris Illingworth, and Kristel Clarke in supporting managing partner Latham Parry.
Ahead of marking her five-year anniversary later this year with the Warrington-based business, Lauren is ready to make her mark in the fresh role.
She said: “It has always been an aspiration of mine to become a partner, so I’m incredibly happy that it has happened as quickly as it has.
“When becoming partner was mentioned, my immediate thought was ‘absolutely, yes’, because I love working at Watsons.
“You get to learn from the best and being around the likes of Latham, Catrin, Chris, Danny, and Kristel more and more will be brilliant for my development.”
Lauren is the third member of the family department to become a partner, joining Catrin and Danny.
The Warrington Youth Zone trustee continued: “We are the biggest family team in the town, which is something we are very proud of.
“The skillset within the department is second to none, with every scenario and case covered by an expert in their field.
“I was speaking with a member of the King’s Counsel recently and they mentioned that they’d recommend Watsons if somebody needed help and advice.
“Feedback such as this is wonderful to hear and is proof of the fine work we do.”
In October, Lauren, who holds the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation, will mark half a decade with the Watsons.
It has been five years to remember for the former University of Liverpool student.
She said: “Watsons is such a happy place with a fantastic culture that doesn’t go unnoticed.
“Hopefully, I can continue to be a role model for the younger members of the team as well. Catrin is that person for me and I hope to do likewise for others.”
Fellow partner and member of the family department at Watsons Solicitors, Danny Hudson, said: “It’s no surprise to me that someone as hard working and dedicated as Lauren has been promoted.
“From day one, her eagerness to learn and develop, coupled with ambition, has made her a force to be reckoned with.
“We now look forward to seeing the impact Lauren has on the wider team at Watsons.”
